5 Tips to Boost Your Immunity

This is the time of year where the temp changes and the leaves start to change and it's glorious outside. It also means it's flu season... and it's 2021 so I guess this thing called covid 19 is going around?? JK but really.

To keep our immune systems healthy, I recommend doing these 4 things daily! 

Take your vitamins! Vitamin C and Vitamin D are huge immune system boosters. If you feel like you're starting to get a cold, pound the C, D, Zinc, and elderberry.  That's my concoction for bouncing back! 

Pound water. It's easy to go from coffee to wine, but being dehydrated can drastically harm your health. Your body needs water to function properly. It needs water to flush out toxins and stay healthy. Remember, we're supposed to drink half your body weight in ounces of water everyday to stay hydrated. Every two weeks, I even go get a liquid IV just to stay extra hydrated. I always notice I feel so much better for like a week afterwards!

Sunshine. Don't let the day go by without letting the sun hit your body for at least 15 minutes (with sunscreen on of course!). As the days get shorter and nights get longer, make it a priority to step outside and enjoy the sun. Not only is this a good habit to boost your immunity, but it's also good for the soul.

Move your body. You guys know how I am always stressing the importance of exercise as a part of your lifestyle! Exercising 5 times per week, for at least 30 minutes daily is recommended for optimal benefits.

Stress less, laugh more. I know it's silly, but laughter really is healing to your bones. It's scientifically proven to decrease stress hormones and increase immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies... A joyful heart is good medicine... Proverbs 17:22
